A Great Premier League Weekend

Another week passes in the calendar and the Premier League still continues to produce the breath taking thrills and spills. The matches played today had included the lot from yellow and red cards to players scoring own goals. There were goals galore in majority of matches in the Premier League.

The dominant teams eased their way to victory. Manchester United recorded a 3-1 win against Fulham to increase the pressure on manager Martin Jol. The victory seemed certain within the first 22 minutes when Valencia, Van Persie and Rooney all scored to make it 3-0. Fulham equalised through Kacaniklic’s goal. Manchester United are now unbeaten in the last six games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal continued their incredible league form with another win against arch rivals Liverpool. A loss in midweek against Chelsea saw Arsenal go out of the Capital One Cup, but the players quickly gave the fans something to cheer about. A brilliant performance followed with stunning strikes from Santi Cazorla and free scoring Aaron Ramsey helped the Gunners extend their lead.

Elsewhere, Manchester City played Norwich out the park and completed a 7-0 rout against their opponents. After the loss to Chelsea with a goal conceded near injury time, Man City came stumbling out the blocks. From start to end The Blues were phenomenal. Man City proved to be too strong an opponent for Norwich as they grabbed a 4-0 lead inside the first 36 minutes.

There were goals galore in matches around the Premier League and not for the first time the bigger teams continue to power past their opponents with some solid defending and ruthless attacking displays.
